Research Year
Dr. William Ross earned a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1994. After college, Dr. Ross conducted research for the Clinical Trials Unit at Mount Sinai Medical College, New York, New York. From there he was awarded a Pre-IRTA Research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, where he published in Nature Medicine and Journal of Virology. After completing his fellowship at NIH, he entered Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, D.C.
After medical school, Dr. Ross served as the Research Clinical Specialist at the Division of Transplant, Department of Surgery at the University of Miami. Dr. Ross then began his residency at the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine. Dr. Ross' accomplishments include being appointed to Program Manager at the Agency for Health Care and Research Quality, receiving the Howard University Trustee Scholarship and being elected to AOA National Medical Honor Society in medical school.
