Research Year
Dr. Darrin Passer earned a bachelor of science in biology from the
University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina, in 1999.
He was awarded a doctor of medicine from the University of South
Carolina School of Medicine in 2004. Prior to medical school, Dr.
Passer was employed as a bone density technologist and a clinical
cardiology research coordinator at University Specialty Clinics.
He also served in the United States Air Force as a medical technician
with six years active duty and five years as a reservist. In his
most recent research endeavor he served as a research coordinator
with the ALLHAT blood pressure/lipid lowering study.
