Erika J. Ruth, M.D.
First-Year Preliminary Resident

Dr. Erika Ruth completed her post-secondary education at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina. She earned a bachelor of science in biology in 2000, followed by a doctor of medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2007.  Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Ruth was employed as a Flow Coordinator and Transporter for CT Scan at Palmetto Health Richland and as a zookeeper at Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina.

Dr. Ruth's research experience includes work as a case reporter and research assistant with the USC School of Medicine's Department of Obstetrics, as well as research assistant positions with USC's Department of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Science and Department of Biology.
